Award-winning author and historian Fred Rosenbaum will explore why Israeli voters turned towards Benjamin Netanyahu and his coalition partners at the last election, leading to his becoming the longest serving prime minister of Israel. Rosenbaum will delve into the major demographic changes that have taken place in Israel over the past decades as well as the judicial reform legislation that has led to protests throughout the country.

Rosenbaum, who founded Lehrhaus Judaica, has been a faculty member at the University of San Francisco, San Francisco State University, and the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. He has also received the S.Y. Agnon Gold Medal for Intellectual Excellence from the Scopus Society of the American Friends of the Hebrew University.
