About the Event

Mark Yudof, president emeritus of the University of California, presently serves with the Academic Engagement Network, an organization that challenges anti-Zionism in academic circles and unmasks the distortions about BDS articulated on many universities across the country. His talk will examine the campaign against Israel on university campuses and what we can do about it.

Mark Yudof served as the 19th president of the University of California from June 2008 through September 2013 and is professor of law emeritus at the University of California, Berkeley. Yudof also served as chancellor of the University of Texas system from August 2002 to May 2008, and as president of the four-campus University of Minnesota from 1997 to 2002.

President Emeritus Yudof is a renowned authority on constitutional law, freedom of expression and education law. He earned both LL.B. and B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. In 2013, Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion awarded him an honorary degree, Doctor of Humane Letters, honors cause.
