About the Event
Robert Alter, emeritus professor of comparative literature at UC Berkeley, will take us on an illuminating journey through Vladimir Nabokov’s writings…from his short stories to major novels such as Lolita. Alter will create a multi-dimensional portrait of a brilliant stylist who was aware of how political ideologies can distort human values.
