About the Event
Spies in the Promised Land is a multi-session course focusing on “intelligence agents” who helped create and secure the State of Israel. The December 2-part sessions will focus on intelligence failures leading up to the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the Egyptian “spy” (or was he a double agent?) who provided Israel’s Mossad with details prior to the conflict’s start. Future sessions in 2021 will explore the Lavon Affair, Mossad’s work in rescuing Ethiopian Jews, and the pre-State group Nili.
Our instructor: EBIJFF Director & Under One Tent Program Director, Riva Gambert.
Admission is free. Separate registration required for both courses. Upon registration, you will first receive a confirmation. One hour prior to the start of each session, you will receive an email with the Zoom link to join. If you don't see this reminder email, please check your spam/junk folder to retrieve it and add the sender "notifications@wixevents.com." to your safe contact list.
