About the Event

The Lavon Affair (also called Esek HaBish or “The Mishap”) is a controversial spy story revolving around nearly a dozen young Egyptian Jews who agreed to carry out sabotage in their home country in 1954, and who were eventually discovered by the Egyptian police. The affair taps into the idealism and self-sacrifice of the undercover agents as well as an unwillingness to take responsibility by Israeli officials. The failed covert operation reverberated for decades.

Admission is free. Upon registration, you will first receive a confirmation email. An hour before the program begins, a reminder email with the Zoom link to join the event will be sent. If you don't see these emails, please check your spam/junk folder to retrieve them. We suggest adding "notifications@wixevents.com" to your contacts or safe sender list as well.
