THE EVOLUTION OF THE ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CONFLICT WITH PROF. RON HASSNER

This workshop will provide a background to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict up to recent developments in the Israel-Hamas war. Ron Hassner is a scholar of religion and international conflict who co-directs Berkeley's institute for Israel Studies. His emphasis will be on wars and negotiations to end war, on the causes and effects of the October 7 terror attack, and on the ongoing Israeli counterinsurgency campaign.

Prof. Hassner has been participating in a sit-in this week in his office on the Cal campus to protest anti-semitism on campus. You can find more information about his sit-in here.
