Yom HaZikaron - Community Commemoration 2026

טקס יום הזכרון לחללי מערכות ישראל ולנפגעי פעולות האיבה התשפ"ו יתקיים השנה ביום שני, 20 באפריל בשעה 7:00 בערב. הטקס יתקיים באנגלית ובעברית.

Join the community for a Yom HaZikaron commemoration honoring Israel’s fallen soldiers and victims of terror attacks. This gathering offers a time for remembrance, reflection, and coming together in solidarity.

Presented in collaboration with Temple Isaiah and Shevet Egoz.

לאחר הטקס, אנו מזמינים אתכם להישאר ולהצטרף אלינו למפגש שירה מיוחד "שרים לזכרם", בהובלת חבורת הזמר.

Following the commemoration, we invite you to stay and join us for a special sing-along session, “Sharim L'Zichram” (Singing in Their Memory), led by Havurat Hazemer (The Vocal Ensemble).

חבורת הזמר היא קבוצת זמרים דוברי עברית עם רקע מוסיקלי, שהכירו במסגרת אירועי מדורת השבט של ברקלי. החבורה הכינה תכנית של שירי מקהלה עם מילים ולחנים שמבטאים את החוויה הישראלית והיהודית, לאורך שנים של תקווה וערגה לשלום.

Havurat Hazemer (The Vocal Ensemble) is a group of Hebrew speaking singers with a range of musical backgrounds, who connected at the ongoing community events of Medurat HaShevet in Berkeley. The ensemble has prepared a program of choral songs that reflect the current Jewish and Israeli experience, expressing a shared yearning for hope and peace. Lyrics with translations will be projected on a screen.
